Meals in Minutes Monday - Appetizer edition
Happy Monday digital scrapbookers! And Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians out there. Trina here with your Monday Meals in Minutes post. Since I'm celebrating Thanksgiving today, I thought I'd show you one of my favorite 'party' or appetizer foods. We only seem to make these for holidays or when we have a party, and I got to enjoy some yesterday with our Turkey dinner. They are super nummy and I've never met anyone that didn't like them!
Tortilla Crisps
Recipe by Best of Bridge Most Loved Recipes Collection
Recipe:
3/4 cup Hard margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (I use the stuff in the green containter)
1/4 cup Sesame Seeds
2 tsp Parsley Flaes
1/2 tsp Dried whole oregano
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
12 Flour tortillas - 6 inch (15 cm) in diameter
Combine First 7 ingredients in small bowl. I forgot to take a picture of this - oops!
Divide and spread thick layer or mixture on each tortilla. It will seem like too much but once cooked it'll be just right.
Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges - this is a great excuse to use your pizza cutter if you have one! Arrange in a single layer on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in preheated 350' oven (175'C) for 12-15 minutes untril crisp and golden. Watch for the edges to curl, once they do that, keep an eye on them because they will burn quickly. My oven runs a little hot, these babies took about 9 minutes to cook.
Put in a pretty bowl and they're done! Easy, and great party/appetizer food to serve when you have company!
