Tidbit Tuesday - Stress free holidays
Hello! Tara here with tips on how to relax through the holiday season that is approaching quickly! I was already starting to feel the stress of the holidays coming up. I have a whole list of Christmas to buy, wrap and label. I have meals and treats to make. I have travel to family homes during the holidays. Not to mention all the extra events at the kids school, our church, ect. I don't need to remind you but November and December are always crazy busy! I love this time a year but I do need to take care of myself during this time to make sure the stress and business doesn't get to me. So, like anyone......I googled "stress free holiday" and this is what I came across. (Genius, right? LOL)
This site had several good tips. These are my favorites......
Read a book - This can take your mind to somewhere else for a little bit and let you relax. I love to read (especially on my Kindle!) so this was right up my alley.
Listen to music - Listening to positive and uplifting music can do wonders for your mood and stress.
Exercise - This is a great way to get rid of stress PLUS is it good for you. Win, win. (I really need to listen to this one for sure......my running shoes are starting to collect dust! YIKES!)
Play with a puppy - how can you be stressed when you are playing with cuteness? Seriously.
Talk to a friend - Yippee! I love girlfriend time! Always great to talk things out and have a few laughs.
The best part about the ones I have mentioned.....THEY ARE FREE!!!! See, I just saved you tons of money and gave you tips to feeling better. :)
BUT, if you are in the need of some retail therapy, I know of where you need to go! Go here and buy a few things. That should get your creative mojo flowing and you can create a scrapbook page, card or hybrid project to make you feel better! Better yet, get some of those holiday gifts done early by doing what you enjoy......digital scrapbooking!
Whatever route you choose to use, I hope that you enjoy this holiday season with as little stress as possible. Happy November everyone!
