Friday Freebie - Template

Hello everyone, Tara here. I have learned a new trick recently. I have learned how to make a template! I have always loved templates. I have a HUGE folder on my computer that proves that fact. Now, I am doing layouts WITHOUT a template JUST so I can make my own template! Craziness. The good news is that you get to benefit from it. :)

Friday Freebie : Template

Well, Friday again already and the week went missing on me! (Katharyn here). Where it vanished nobody knows, but here's hoping the weekend will bring us all some quiet time to scrap about the little joys of having school-aged kiddies, or the pleasant memories of our own school days.

And if you're anything like me, you'll want to record all the other parts of school life - like catching the bus, afternoon snacks that last right up until dinner time, and maybe the bad stuff like bullying and how it's affected you personally (some little person reading it may just be able to relate and learn from it). I kid you not, my 5-year-old son got his elbow fractured on the bus this week because a 12-year-old was pulling him out from under a chair and snapped it. Oh, the drama! Which reminds me, I'd better take a photo of his sling ....

Down by the Sea!

Hi everyone. Kiki here with a Friday post all about the sea. If you haven't picked it up yet, you have to check out Jennifer's gorgeous Down by the Sea bundle (if you don't already have She Sells Seashells).

It is absolutely the cutest beach kit! Down by the Sea is awesome for your little water babies, especially those little surfer dudes that you've got pictures of! It's so versatile though, you can use it for girls too, because it's full of bright sunny yellow and orange too!

And since I'm going on a vacation to the East Coast and plan on having my tootsies in the sand I thought I'd give you a little gift to get your layout started. Click on the image to download the cluster frame.

Everything's more fun to eat when you serve it on a stick!!! + FREEBIE

Cake Balls are my new favorite thing to bake, they are so fast and easy to make and the kids love them!!

Bake your favorite (any flavor) cake mix.
When cool, crumble cake in a large bowl.
Add 1/2 can of vanilla frosting.
Use your hands to mix.  Add more frosting if it seems dry.
Roll into golf size balls.
Put wax paper on cookie sheet.
Place ball and insert lollipop stick in each.

Icing:
Mix together 2 cups powdered sugar and
4 Tbsp water until smooth (add water as needed).

Dip each ball in the icing and place on wax paper.
(Optional) Coat with sprinkles or add food coloring to icing.
Let set.
